CareerFitMap currently relies more on browser session storage and analytics events than traditional account cookies, but third-party services may use cookies or similar technologies when they are loaded.

Technologies We Use

  • Session storage to preserve the current audit workflow, including uploaded text, selected MBTI type, target role inputs, generated preview or report, delivery email, report id, and local payment state.
  • Analytics events through Vercel Analytics to understand product usage, conversion, performance, and reliability.
  • Server logs and technical metadata to detect errors, protect the service, and troubleshoot user support requests.
  • Payment, email, support, or checkout providers may use their own cookies or similar technologies when their services are loaded.

Why We Use Them

  • Keep the audit flow working while you move between preview, checkout, and report states.
  • Recover the current browser session after a refresh.
  • Measure whether users can complete key steps such as upload, MBTI selection, preview generation, and full report unlock.
  • Improve security, reliability, performance, and product design.

Essential Storage

Some browser storage is necessary for the report workflow to function. If you block or clear all browser storage, CareerFitMap may lose the current report session or require you to restart the audit flow.

Analytics

CareerFitMap uses Vercel Analytics and product events such as scenario card clicks, resume uploads, job description input, MBTI selection, free audit completion, upsell clicks, payment success events, and report print actions.

Analytics helps us understand aggregate usage and reliability. It is not intended to create a public profile of your resume or career history.

Third-Party Cookies

When CareerFitMap connects checkout, payment, support, email delivery, or other third-party tools, those providers may set cookies or use similar technologies according to their own policies.

Your Controls

  • You can clear CareerFitMap site data in your browser to remove local workflow data.
  • You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies and site storage, but some product features may stop working.
  • You can use browser privacy tools, private browsing, or extension controls to limit some tracking technologies.
  • Some browsers send Do Not Track signals, but CareerFitMap does not currently respond to those signals in a separate way.
